Chelfham Mill
The Trustees have decided that since the site of the school is still unsold for the housing development for which permission was obtained in 2021, the YVT will seek the opportunity to add it to the EA/YVT property portfolio.
Its purchase by one of the “Greater L&B Railway” groups would underpin our long-term efforts to reconstruct the complete route, by providing an excellent base in the Southern Sector. An Appeal for funds is the subject of the May issue of our occasional Newsletter “Viaduct Views” which is circulated to all donors and EA shareholders.
This is a substantial “ask” which will be masterminded by EA Director, David Cameron, who was so successful in raising the funds necessary to secure a railway future for Bratton Fleming Station. Because we are now a Registered Charity we intend to reach far and wide for donors.
